On a recent trip to lovely Miami, we booked late and hotel rooms were scarce, probably due to the large number of people from the Eastern seaboard looking for a respite from the freezing cold rain and snow. At any rate, we searched Hotels.com and Hotwire and came up with a beautiful designer room at the Hotel Aladdin, near Miami international airport.
Imagine my surprise when I pulled up to find what the Panamanians call a “push”, a love hotel where you can drive into your own closed parking and anonymously stay for the night, or a few hours. The pulsing fluorescent hearts on the building should have been a dead giveaway, but the front desk left no doubt, offering edible bras and handcuffs.
En fin, the rooms were very nice, I stayed on the second floor above the push rooms (some of which are apparently two stories themselves, with Jacuzzi). The tagline for the Aladdin is “Unparalleled Passion”… hmm, didn’t mention that one on the Hotwire description. Nice place, and I recommend it, whether your trip to Miami be for business – or pleasure.
