Hispanic marketing expenditures rise in 2010
According to the latest Hispanic Business Issue, December 2010, the Annual Special Media Report, “Hispanic market Internet advertising expenditures grew 13.9 percent this year (2010) to 247 million”.
Online marketing targeting Hispanics was the medium that increased expenditure the most, surpassing even the traditional Network/nationalTV and local radio stations.
Considering that the economy is going through challenging times and companies’ advertising budgets are short, the reason for this change must be the change of advertising distribution going from print, outdoor and national radio to Internet. It will be interesting to see what the trend for 2011 is.
