Connect for Real with Southwest

As most Hispanics living in the U.S., many of us have friends and family who live miles away and who we only get to personally see far too often. Luckily, tools such as smartphones, videos, and social networking, have made it much easier to keep in touch, making the distance a little more bearable.
Marketers such as Dieste, Inc. know as well as we do that Skype and Facebook are just not the same as physically being next to those we love. With this in mind, Dieste, in partnership with Southwest Airlines, recently launched a national low fare campaign to the Hispanic audience named “Connect for Real.” The campaign shows the difficulties Latinos face in trying to stay connected to their loved ones, and how it is just not the same as physically being together. As Aldo Quevedo, the Chief Creator Officer and President of Dieste stated: “Having the luxury of affordable airfare is a privilege that Southwest Airlines offers and it should be taken advantage of when available”. The objective is to show Hispanics how important it is to connect with those who are far away, with a vision that more Hispanics will truly have a chance to do so.
