In a recent report released by Global Web Index, the London-based internet consumer research firm, digital media has globally surpassed offline media as the most used form of media used by consumers. This is in large part thanks to the explosion of social media, proliferation of smart phones, simple user interfaces and the popularity of tablets. Case in point is my mother, who at age 70 went from not using a computer to –armed with an iPad– becoming a menace on Facebook.
On average, consumers spend nearly 10.7 hours a day in all forms of media, 5.6 of those hours on digital. Argentina leads the world with 6.49 out of 12.98 hours. Here’s how the rest of the top 10 clock in.
