Children are so important that this is the time in which the toy industry is the one that spends the most on advertising. In a recent article from Merca2.0, it was published that sales were estimated at around 11 million pesos.
This industry represents 12% of the total spending by Mexicans during the end of the year. Advertising, during the period of November to January, has had an increment of 300% in comparison to other months, since with the advertising the toy industry shows off its new products.
The Mexican spends, on average, around $1,800 pesos in acquiring the famous toys and requests that the children make in the letter to the three wise men.
Now the Three Wise Men also make stops at technology stores, according to a recent article in Universal, in 2012 Tablet (iPad) and mobile phone sales represented 22% of toy sales, it is estimated that this year will be the same or even higher.
The yoyos, marbles, and spinning tops have been replaced and left in the trunk thanks to these famous electronic devices.
