The Wave Festival was created in 1976 by Meio & Mensagem Group, Brazil’s top advertising agency, marketing publication, and event organizer. In 2013 the Wave Festival included the U.S. Hispanic market and Puerto Rico for the first time.
Last year, eight U.S. agencies captured 19 awards at the Wave Festival for Latin America. Chicago-based Lapiz was the biggest U.S. winner. The other winning agencies were Alma, Conill, Dieste, LatinWorks, The Community (formerly called La Comunidad), Walton Isaacson, and Y&R Bravo. DDB Latina Puerto Rico won two trophies.
The festival aims to offer professionals and managers in the communications industry the opportunity to promote their work through the exhibition of their most original and creative material at an event with a unique position in Latin America and the Hispanic market.
This year’s judging begins in Rio on April 14. Let’s see who takes the top awards this year!
