In its second year, the eMerge Americas conference attracted 500 companies from around the world in an effort to transform Miami into a tech hub. The most recent edition of this event took place between May 1-5 this year.
eMerge Americas is a global exchange of ideas centered on the industries of technology and innovation. The conference serves as a platform connecting avant-garde startups, world leaders of the industry, and investors by way of North America, Europe, and Latin America. In five intensive days, interactive sessions and engaging presentations designed to foster discussion and creativity are held in the most symbolic spots in Miami.
On this occasion the agenda included a session about tech opportunities in Cuba, another about the explosion of digital music in Latin America, and noteworthy keynotes from personalities like Martine Rothblatt, founder of SiruisXM and currently recognized as the best paid CEO in the world; Jim McKelvery, cofounder of Square; and Julian Castro from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The event was the perfect opportunity for startups to highlight their innovations, taking advantage of the presence of hundreds of investors and innovators from the industry in the Miami area. The most exciting thing about these startups is, without a doubt, the competition. The participating companies present in front of a panel of judges in three rounds and have the opportunity to get a cash investment of $175,000.

The Symptify health centers have another source of leads generation, an app for sign-ins, and a management system for patients en route. Symptify has also awaken an interest in insurance companies that work to improve patient navigation and reduce sanitation costs.
