Instagram, one of the major Social Media platforms is just days away from beginning to exploit their potential for business.

The days of advertising-free Instagram are coming to an end.

Last Thursday Instagram announced that it is going to start advertising within the next two months. According to Instagram, the measure is part of an effort to convert the company into a “sustainable business.”

Instagram communicated the following via blogpost: “If you are in the United States, in the next two months, you could start to see an ad on your Instagram feed once in a while.”

Mexico is Now More than Facebook and Twitter

Social Networks

Social Networks

Ask.fm and Tumblr are now among the five main social networks in Mexico. According to information from IAB Mexico and Millward Brown, Twitter’s success last year in Mexico is because 69% of adolescent social media users subscribed to this microblogging network. These same users were slightly less inclined to use the rest of the social networks out there, 86% in comparison with the general population, which in 2012 totaled 88% of users submerged in the virtual conversation.

But today, with just a few months to go before the end of 2013, according to the ComScore report, “Mexico’s Digital Future 2013 and Measurement Trends,” which offers information up until June 2013, Linkedin took second place among social networks classified by unique visitors, with 6.4 million users, clearly ahead of third place, which is currently held by Twitter.

Social Media for a True Expert

Having one or thousand forums in which to publish our knowledge does not make us experts.

Having one or thousand forums in which to publish our knowledge does not make us experts.

Today, speaking of social media networks is a daily occurrence, as is publishing on them. On them, it is very common to find experts on any topic you can think of.

Surely it has happened to you when, after reading something from one of these “experts”, you feel the need to debate the topic, to refute the above-mentioned expert, or fill all of the posts you can find where this “expert” has shared their “sublime knowledge” with you, but in many cases, we don’t even have enough followers on social networks or forums to do it.

I am convinced that there are people of great talent who simply lack a forum, or to put it colloquially, “by not having the microphone in hand,” they end up getting away unnoticed and far from the spotlight that would shine on our new gurus.

Interesante: a New Social Network for Sharing In Spanish

interesante.com

interesante.com

This topic is inspired by the Pinterest movement, which has placed value on the likes and interests of internet users around the world, achieving something that had never happened before–to prioritize what users want over what brands or companies could offer them.

This, adding to the platform’s record of growth, marked a new trend in web browsing, based on a mixed tool similar to Facebook’s “Like”, with the old and beloved markers or “favorites” from web browsers.

The repercussions have been felt throughout the planet, something that the creators of a new network saw as an “interesting” idea. And so, www.interesante.com was born.

What is Linkedin?

Linkedin

Linkedin

Today, Linkedin has become a social network that has been able to connect more than 100 million professionals with at least 2 million companies.

For years, our CVs were stuck on a page, but today, Linkedin has changed the game and helps you manage your professional career with tools that allow you to show off your expertise. Sharing your knowledge about what you’re best at is what this network allows us. Never before were professionals like you or me able to reach such large audiences in such a direct way with the sole investment of effort and talent.
