We have talked several times about the importance of social networks in today’s virtual world, and it seems as the Chilean police has understood that very fast, ranking as the most popular police of Latin America on Twitter.

The institution called Carabineros de Chile (Police of Chile) counts with more than 114’000 followers, growing with 400 followers per day, a popularity which they have achieved to a big extend thanks to the good communication on the social network. News, prevention campaigns, content of public use and traffic updates are only some of the information published daily, besides supplying direct and transparent replies to their followers.

The Twitter account of the Carabineros de Chile is more popular than the ones of Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina, exponents with similar characteristics.
